CPR Kick-Off Event
We would like to extend a special invitation for you to join Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst and us on Thursday, November 21, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at Liberty Kitchen, 4224 San Felipe, for a private fundraising reception benefiting Coalition for Public Responsibility (CPR), a newly formed political action committee advocating fiscal responsibility and accountability in our local and state government. CPR was founded by a diverse coalition of conservative Republican and Tea Party leaders from the greater Houston area who have joined together to promote policy initiatives and to support candidates pursuant to more responsible local and state government.
Lieutenant Governor Dewhurst has long supported fiscal responsibility at all levels of government, and we are honored that he has joined with us in launching this mission. While having the support of conservative leaders is a good start, the only way to effect real reform is by educating citizens and generating the grassroots support needed to advance and maintain the political will of more of our state and local leaders. That is the mission of CPR and is why we need your help in leading this effort.
